[Pro] Transparent text only works in safari

Hello, thought I had cracked it! sure is a tricky business this web design.

My animated text with transparent background works great in Safari but not in firefox or opera. The animation is a quicktime file.

Any ideas why please.

What does your movie/animation consist of. Is it as you have suggested just animated text. Is a QT movie the best format to present it. I am concerned that your file size will be disproportional to what you need and maybe QT is not the way to go.

In saying that you should be able to get it working in other browsers - have you checked it on a PC yet?

Its animated text created in final cut pro’s motion. rendered with an alpha channel to preserve the transparency so it appears over the top of an image on the page with no box around it. I solved the problem of the box’s transparency by using the extended attributes command of name = wmode value transparent. It all looked good in safari until I tried to preview in firefox and opera. I found the following info but don’t know what to do with the commands?
