Is there anyway I can use my own icon to trigger a Showcase instead of the thumbnails it creates?

I haven’t used Showcase, so I’m not sure. This question has been asked before by others, and the answer has always been no. But if you post a link to a page that shows this “launch” point, I may be able to suggest a way to hack the output or to use JavaScript or CSS to make it appear the way you want it to.

Thanks Walter. Do you know if that’s the same for Exhibeo? Basically, I want to use icons representing a home builders floor plans and photos to trigger both Showcase and Exhibeo. I’ll post a link as soon as I have the page designed.

The icons at the bottom of the page represent photos (which I’ll probably delete since I have the Exhibeo icon in the right sidebar), plans, and contact. I’ll probably add other.
When the plans icon is clicked I’d like that to open up a Showcase gallery. I know it’ll default to the first image, but that’s okay since Showcase has built in navigation.

Well, if you were to leave the Exhibeo icon there on the page, you could probably create a JavaScript link that would trigger it from your little ideogram. The Exhibeo thumbnail stack that you see is just the teeny tip of the iceberg of hidden images and thumbnails, so you won’t want to remove it or hide it on screen. It has to be somewhere visible.
I need to see the Showcase output, too. When you say it gives you thumbnails, does it give you a grid of images? If I can see that output embedded on this page (just put it below the ideograms) then I may be able to offer you a suggestion about what to do there.
