My website (in the footer) has obsolete Google Analytics code. I’m wanting to update it to the current asynchronous version. From Google’s help page, it seems I can do this pretty simply by pasting the Google-provided code into my page(s) immediately before the closing tag.
Two questions:
-
Should this be done on the Master, or must I paste the code into each of my 300+ pages?
-
I’m a code novice. Looking at the View Page Source, I can see the old analytics code down near the bottom of my pages. But I have no idea how to actually locate that code in my Freeway and remove it. I can’t find how or where I entered it in either the Master (most likely) or the individual pages. How do I find the old code in order to remove it? I appreciate any advice.
