[Pro] Upload issues in 5.5.2

Anyone know why when uploading any changes to my site, FW uploads the whole site over again? Very frustrating as I have a very media rich site that has lots of Flash video posted. I reviewed the forums and found the same issue arising in earlier versions of FW ( I also had the problem in 4.+). This seemed to go away in FWpro 5.5.1, but has returned in FWpro5.5.2. I tried to use the work around: File>Document setup>Output>resources>Common resource folder. to no avail. Help!

Ok, somehow the problem resolved itself after restarting FW.

I am having same problem. Did you just do a restart of the program itself or of the computer.

Tried both anyway. Still have the problem. Should I be using the common resources option in Doc Setup? Help. Very boring waiting for vids to load every time.

I set to common resources and it seems to work fine. I restarted the program, not the computer. Everything seems to be working smoothly now. Uploaded a new episode with two iPhone versions this morning without having to reload all the other content on the site. It took around 5 hours to finally get the whole site posted yesterday. The issue for me may have been due to the fact that I had just upgraded to 5.5.2 and FW might have needed all the content to be updated to match the new version? Only a guess. After two failed attempts to upload, I Disconnected the “i” versions of the videos to decrease the file size and uploaded the .flvs first, then i reconnected the m4vs and uploaded. Once I had everything posted, I was then able to do new postings without a full site upload. www.stuckinlodi.com

Hi David, I’m still not working. It’s busy loading everything yet again. Taking 2 hours each time. I’m using common resources. Have restarted the program and the Mac. I am also using 5.5.2 and converted the site from 5.5.1.

Does anyone have any ideas for this?

Thanks

Hi Mike,

Try going to the Document Setup dialog (in the File menu) and changing the Site Folder for a new one. Also, try going clicking the Resample All button in the Edit >Resources dialog. If it still does it could you get in touch with support? They may ask for your file to help them pinpoint the problem.

Hi Joe

Tried all of that to no avail. Still in the same boat. Would it help if I gave you access to my Mac tomorrow or is it easier to send you a file?

Hi Mike,

If you send the file across to support then they can take a look at it for you.

Cheers,

Joe
