[Pro] using JW Player or ????

I need to learn how to embed video to a website for a customer.

I have checked out JW player and want to see how to upload the videos, and put a player in place with a selection playlist beside the player.

What is the best way to do this and what is the best file type to use to have good quality, yet small file size?

I am open to some suggestions.

Thanks,

Rich

Dave,

I got it to work, just can’t get it to work as an inserted item. I have to put it inside a background that expands, due to other content.

But, when I did get it working, it put the player underneath all of my other artwork at the bottom, instead of the top, whether or not I had layer button on.

Ideas?

Thanks for your help.

I appreciate it.

Markup items can be pasted inside other HTML items ie inline construction.

So this shouldn’t be an issue. Post a link to what you have already.

Dave,

There is a jw player on this page, but it is not showing up. It is in the middle of the rainbow box.

I have it inserted into the html as a layer. It will not show up. If I change it, it goes below the box.

Can’t get it to show up right. Probably something to do with the path.

Thanks for the help.

It looks like your Div - item1 - should be the JWplayer container. If that is the case then it has to have the name container.

Look in the inspector with that item selected. Title: container

Dave,

I got JW player’s pre-produced video to play.

Can’t get one of our wmv, .mov or .flv to play.

Also, cant the the box to move to the right, no matter how much margin I put on it.

Too tired…going to bed. Cats got me up at 5:30

Tomorrow is another day !!

Thanks for the help.

Still can’t get things to line up right with JW player.

The inserted html item will not go flush right, no matter how much space I add to the margin on the left side.

Any ideas???

Thanks,

Rich

Not without seeing your page - if you want to send me a link to download your FW file - just that 1 page - I can have a look.
