[Pro] using same resources for repeated objects

Hi everybody.
I’m creating my website with latest version of freeway pro.
on my web page, there is an image that repeated many times on the page. as you know, freeway creates one file in resources for each of them, and this will make website more heavy.
Is there a way that I can use same resource for objects that I repeat many times on the page?

If you use pass-through images (which of course means that you have to
pre-optimize those images and crop them to size and shape) then
Freeway will never rename them, no matter how many of them appear on
the page. Generally, Freeway works very hard to keep from uploading
the same image more than once per site. It compares images at the
binary level, and doesn’t allow the same image to be duplicated.
Usually, when it says you need two or more images, you actually do
(because they are not exactly alike).

thanks Walter;
I tried; but in items menu I see that the file duplicates. e.x. I have an image called “item1” and when I duplicate it, or copy paste it, or just drag the “item1” from side bar to page, FW automatically makes another file called “item1a” for that.

You also have to remember that there should be no 2 items on the page that have the same name (ID) - FW is avoiding this.

Try Walter’s suggestion of using the duplicate image as a pass-through. You will probably find that the image container is duplicated as item1, item1a etc rather than the image itself.

Thank u so much. I found out how it works. in items, 2 or more files will appear but in resources there’s only one file.
by the way Walter; I checked your site out. on your first page there is a photo of a rabbit. it’s not possible to save that photo by drag n drop. may I know what you did to it?

It’s a background image, applied to a DIV with CSS. I forget why I did
that.
