Here’s an odd and probably inexplicable one. I make some changes to a project and upload them. When I open the page in the browser, all the changes are there. But if I contuinue making changes, at some point all my browsers show me an old version of the page.
I check the files via ftp, and everything is as it should be, but for some reason, my browsers show an older version of the page. This only seems to happen with pages I produce with FW, not ones that I create with Bootstrap, for example. After a while, things seem to click and the pages update properly, but often only after leaving the project for a couple of hours or so and coming back to it later.
This is very frustrating, as I’m developing blind in many cases. I haven’t the faintest idea what could be going on here, but I post this in the off chance that someone else has been having similar issues. Thanks to anyone who can shed some light.

It sounds like your browsers are using cache instead of getting a new
copy from the server. There is a button on the browser to force the
browser to get a new copy. You did not mention forcing the browser to
refresh, so this is probably the problem. Lou

It happens in all my browsers and with at least two hosting providers.
Regarding the cache settings with the hosting service, would that explain why everything reverts back to normal when I don’t visit the page for a couple of hours?

More than likely it’s either the browser cache issue or…
You need to kick Freeway into re-publishing things. I frequently delete files or sometimes the whole site from the published site folder (just to be sure).
Combine this with using Dev menu with the “cache off” just to be sure also. If it’s a single image that won’t republish… reming that item name will force the re-publish from Freeway and present the browser with a changed HTML file to draw the changed image.

David Owen, one of the sites is hosted with ineed. Could the settings there possibly be causing this?
