does anybody know if once webyep is installed can the client install/
upload videos from either a quicktime or a embed code from youtube?
Though this may have changed, I was told by obdev (a while ago) that
WY does not natively support video uploading. Instead it relies on the
plug-in editor you’re using with WY, some of which allow for uploading
video content. The problem I found is that you’re at the mercy of
whatever limitations the editor imposes, eg, file size and/or type.
This was a deal-breaker for me but depending on your needs could be
fine.
I’m using max-izzat.co.uk/ wep yep suite of actions. could they do it?
It’s not an action-related issue, as far as I know. You can upload
videos with WY, you just need to verify that the WY editor you have
installed (FCKEditor, TinyMice etc.) has the video upload feature you
need. Whether that particular functionality is enough for you is
another matter.
Hi Peter Todd is correct
WebYep doesn’t have a native video or flash upload capability.
the only way around is to use something like TinyMCE and even then you need to add a plugin to allow that richtext editor to upload video (basically its the richtext editor that is uploading and controlling the video not webyep directly
