Can someone tell me how to connect my website to my Facebook page, please? Also how do I acquire the Facebook icon for my website?

Mike, it’s really easy. Select your Home Index page. In menu select Insert > Action Item > Facebook Like Box.
It will appear on the page. Move it and resize it.
Open the Action inspector and type in the url of your Facebook page, leaving off the http:// stuff.
Select a background color and check https:// if you use that on your FB page.
It will begin transmitting immediately, you can check it in Preview.
The nice thing is it already has a “Like” button built in.

Hi Vicki - it did not work, sorry. I tried typing in the URL but it said that the ID was not recognised… however, I used the Insert Action Freeway BUTTON and the KEY words in the button box were highlighted as a blue link… I clicked on the blue link and it went thru to our Facebook page… but there was not the Facebook icon visible to lick on (using insert Button not Box). What do you suggest? Visit the website to see what I mean… at the foot of the Home Page you will see the problem.

It is best to copy and paste the facebook url. Did you use the Action inspector? I think the “like” button is only on the action called “Facebook Like Box.” Don’t make the box too small, that may be influencing the results. Take a look at my homepage. This is what you should see. I’ve also used it on two other sites and it works fine.

Hi Vicki - well it didnt work, unfortunately. I am going to check with Facebook to make sure what the correct URL is. The “Action” Inspector is the dialogue box, entitled Actions… has a URL box to type the URL in. … boxes to check … face, header and stream and down the bottom a check box for https… am I correct?

Yes, that is correct. Go to your Facebook page, select and copy the url. Paste that into the box.
