[Pro] Webyep and Protaculous carousel wordking together?

Hi there!
Could someone tell me how to use Webyeb together with Carousel?
Step by step kind of help?
I love the way the carousel works, but the client wants to upload their photos himself…

Thanks!

You could have a defined set of panes, and within each of those options, the client could change what image appeared. What you could not do is set up a Carousel where the client could create new panes in the Carousel, changing the number of options.

Hi Walter,
As you can guess I’m quite new to this… Could you be more specific about the steps I need to take to create a website with Webyep and Carousel?
I would really appreciate that!
Thanks again!

I’m not the best person to ask about the WebYep side of things – I’ve
never used it myself. But according to several posts I’ve read on the
list, there are image upload controls available in WebYep, perhaps
through a “rich” editor control. (I’ll leave the details of that part
to those who know and won’t lead you astray.)

What I would do is create a carousel effect that works, following the
many many examples and tutorials posted on this list. Then, once you
have it working in a static layout, use WebYep to create admin
controls for the individual panes on that page. You’ll need to apply
one of Max’s Actions to each pane element, and use that to control
updating the image(s) and text within the pane.

Set up the carousel following Walter’s instructions here: http://www.freewaytalk.net/thread/view/51656

Once that is done, click inside each of the, in this case, empty panes and insert a WebYep image object. Make sure that each image object has a different name.

That should be all you need. Once published you will add photos to each pane via the weyep interface from a browser. Keep in mind that whatever size you set the panes up to be will be the limit of viewable area for each image. There are no sizing controls within the webyep interface from the browser so think about your sizing at the time you set up the panes.

Great! Thanks for the instructions.
I’ll give it a go in the morning…

Hi I’ve been trying to set up a carousel with Webyep using these instructions but no luck. The image icon does not appear in the browser so I can’t update any images. Does anybody have any tips on how to set up a carousel with webyep?

Thanks

Mog
