[Pro] WebYep styles in MyMenu

Hello. Im creating a news page, in http://www.i-tek.es/demoweb/liachapman/docs/test.php
to test the WebYep and learning about it.

Ive applied the styles in the “direct method” (now, I know more… thanks all of you) but I got a trouble with the menu: I want to take out the dots, and align the text to left, and I cant. In this case Ive apllied the style to the cell as is written in Max’manual. In other elements Ive applied styles directly to the elements. I really hate the dots…

Another thing: as you see, in the right side of the page, Ive insert 3 elements: long text, attachment and image. As you see in news 01, Ive written several lines in this longtext element, but the problem is that the text is over the other elements.I would like to make them go down, but dont know if it is possible. Ive tried with the div properties, nut nothing.

Any idea?

PS. The WebYep action described in MaxManual, “WebYep Menu CSS Styler”, doesnt work in my page.

Thanks.

Your WebYep loop has to be set up as an inline items. In other words, one main html box (div) with all the elements of the loop inserted inside that box. This is the only way to get rid of the overlap problem.

The RPL action might work also for this but I haven’t tried that.

ok, now it works. At first, I put all the elements into the table cells, but they didnt appear as div (green colour). They appeared in blue colour, and I couldnt apply styles. This is why I put them out of the table, in separate layers. Now, with the styles applied, Ive put them inside the table again, and it works properly.

But I cant manage with the menu dots… Any advice?

Other thing now I have all in a table and styles applied is that I want the main menu in white, and links at the right in grey, but they work together…when I change one the other changes aswell. I thing it could be solutiones with the Menu styles, but dont know how to set it.

Thanks again.

Thanks a lot.

Hi Rakel
for the webyep menu styler to work you need to make sure the menu is a div (layer) and the layer needs to be named MyMenu within the inspector palette.
I sent you a document this morning showing a styled gallery and a styled menu, and this should make it easier to understand how to add the menu and style it.

kind regards Max

Hello! Thanks for your help. I opened your menu example, Max, and realised what i was doing wrong. I was completely ofussed in putting the elements into a table. Perhaps it was my problem. This is the only thing i have changed, and now it works. Thanks for your help, again.
