[Pro] WordPress Action

I’d love to build an action that can integrate with or possibly export to WordPress. I noticed that ArtiSteer http://www.webartisteer.com (here’s a review: http://bd.q8.sl.pt) is promoting itself as the WinTel world’s “Freeway”, and I must admit that being able to export in WordPress, Drupal, DotNet, is very appealing. The CMS power of WordPress is amazing, can blogger really compete?

I have used them before. Not bad.

I would also love an action that would do the same.

Great idea Jeff - Wordpress has more to offer than WebYep, and is cheaper (!) than Expression Engine. I have a few clients that I would love to move to a CMS, but they are start-ups and can’t afford the costs…

Hi Arlene
Wordpress is a completely different animal to webyep and really arn’t competitors wordpress would be better compared to joomla or drupel… the realities are though, wordpress would be a nightmare to work with for the average freeway users but thats just my opinion. I have heard that some other thought about writing actions for wordpress but I haven’t sen anyone create anything that would integrate the tow applications together

all the bests max

The more I’ve looked into this, the more I’m convinced that CMS-ish features in freeway will come online in future versions, and perhaps an export abiity to allow designers to build WP Themes for clients will also become available within our community.

One serious retraction: After taking a close look at Dot Net, It seems to be just another way for M$ to protect its business partners. It’s fatally tied to windows, and even tho the programming language is called “C#”, there’s nothing “C”, “C++”, “Objective C” or any other “C” about it. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it’s Basic with lipstick. Yikes!

It would probably be a major investment in programming to let us all update our sites with Freeway with our i-pads and iPhones as easy as a blog post, but it seems something like that is the direction we are all moving in.
