Just started learning exhibeo. Have made slideshows and exported them to freeway which opens up a message indicating to click in finder. I do that and the page I am working on opens up in freeway with a exhibeo import box displayed. But there is nothing there. How do I get my xbExport files into Freeway?

I export my slideshow to freeway. Then go to the freeway page, click actions and select “exhibeo import” and place the import where I want it on the page.
With your exhibeo import html box selected on your page, Go up to Window (top of screen), and click Actions.
This should reveal your actions palette and will already have a tab for Exhibeo Import.
select the file you want to import. and it should work.
I always make sure when exporting my slideshows to freeway that I save this with a memorable name and in a location I can easily find from freeway.
I’m no expert - but hope this helps.

Thank you so much, CMG. Open up the actions palette under the Window tab. That is the bit I failed to do! Three wasted hours. Oh well, got there in the end!

Hi Simon/CMG.
I’m having the same problem. First of all I downloaded the Freeway Action for Exhibeo - but havent a clue where it went?? Secondly I also tried to upload the slideshow to my website and nothing appeared. ( However reading cmg’s response I can see where I went wrong there). Any idea about where the action might be ?

The action will probably be in your downloads folder (unless you are like me and have your downloads drop on your desktop). Double-click on it to launch Freeway and install the action.

Caleb, I’m sorry, but still having problems with getting my Exhibeo slideshow onto my website.
The slideshow has been exported to the Freeway Resources folder of my website. I do not see the “exhibit import” dialogue box, nor do I see the action in the Actions window. If I try to import the file onto my page the file is greyed-out.
I’m at a loss to know what to do next. Can you set it out steep-by-step for me ??

The slideshow has been exported to the Freeway Resources folder of my website.
You shouldn’t add anything into the Resources folder - FW manages the contents of this folder and unless you really know what you are doing you should stay out of there.
Instead export into the FW created Media folder (if you are using a FW template then this is created automatically).
From the main FW menu use Insert>Action Item>Exhibeo Import - this will place an instance of the action on your FW page where you can move and resize it to suit
Now open the Actions window and with the action you just added selected use the Picker to select the Exhibeo Output File
