[Pro] youtube action

Hi

I’ve put a youtube link on my page, but it is sized smaller than I want it to be. When I view the youtube link directly, it is a nice size. You can see it here: YoGo Workout Promotional Video - YouTube

But on my website it looks smaller:

The graphic box in my freeway document fills the page. What do I need to do to make the video larger on my website?

Thanks in advance!

On your page the width and height are defined as width=“425” height=“350” with the You Tube action selected on the FW page what dimensions does the inspector say it is?

I expanded the action box out quite large just to see if I could make any kind of adjustment, then I re-uploaded just to be sure. The inspector says the box is 811px wide by 913px high. When I inserted the action it came in as 100x100, yet it looks the same on the final output page as it does now. In other words, resizing the box on my FW page seems to have no affect at all.

I hope that makes sense.

Just a quickie using your video http://www.deltadesign.co/odds/youtube.html - you might need to refresh the page.

When I inserted the action it came in as 100x100

How or what did you insert the action into. On my page I used Insert>Action Item>YouTube Pro

I didn’t insert it into an existing container - did you?

The standard YouTube action will always add the video at a fixed size.
The ‘pro’ version of the action that I created to add other bells and
whistles a while ago outputs the video at the size defined by the
object on the page. Make your video big and the resulting YouTube
video will also be big.

For the moment you can download it here;

Tim,

I will give the pro action a try later today. Thank you. To answer your other question, no, I didn’t insert the action into any type of existing container. Thanks again & I’ll update you after I have a chance to put your action to use!

Doty,

I am not sure what the Youtube Action does, but if all you want is a
youtube video on your page then
it is pretty simple to put the youtube on your page using the Insert->
Markup Item from the Freeway main menu.

See: http://louslittle.com/Utube

get my simple FW project at http://louslittle.com/Utube/testUtube.zip

To do this, first, get your youtube video in a browser window. Then
click on the button, select the color you want, and the size
you want. For my sample, I entered 960 in the horizontal custom box,
youtube sets the height for you. In this case it was 565. Copy the
code that is highlighted. Now go back to your Freeway page and do the
Insert->Markup Item. A text box should pop up with two buttons cancel
and ok. Paste the HTML code you copied from the youtube page into this
text box, and click OK. Now you should see a green outlined box on
your freeway page. Using the Inspector, enter the width and height, in
my case 960,565. Position this markup box where you want it. Go to
preview and you should see your youtube video.

If you look at my simple sample project, double click on the markup
box and the text window with the youtube code will appear.
