I’m wanting to do something similar which keeps the links at the top of my page if you know what I mean!
Is there an Action out there? I’ve tried Walter Davis’s Sticker Action but I keep getting a Javascript error and being a total code doofus I haven’t got a clue how to fix it.
What error, and do you get it in Freeway or on the page when you view
it in your browser? If you are also using the RPL Action on the page,
you must use the Remove from RPL Action on your “sticky” element. And
naturally, the element you apply it to must be either a Layer or an
inline CSS element (CSS checkbox ticked in the Inspector).

I’m guessing that means there is some code missing. Do I need to enter markup code for the page? The items are layers, tthe CSS Layout icon is highlighted and I’m not using RPL Action.
I’ve tried that but it places the item to the far left of the browser window and that’s not what I want. I have a page that is 1000 pixels wide with the logo to left and the navigation buttons to the right. I want the page to remain in the middle of the browser window regardless of how the user resizes the window.
Just update to a version of Freeway newer than 5.2, and you’ll be able to use the Action. It compensates for the user resizing the window and for centered layouts.

You may want to consider a different layout type then to help with this. (Inline?)
I can’t remember exactly how this page had been built - I just remember that this was one of the first threads in our small german freeway-talk list. But from memory:
A sticky element with some inline construction. Inline, cause I think it was the only possibility to get that centered (that was the most tricky part)
A combination of rollover and target layer show/hide for the this sticky navigation element.
A very long page with anchors.
A code snippet applied with protaculous to achieve the smooth scroll to anchors.
… and finally a bunch of graphic elements so it finally looks as it look.
For the sticky element I once made a small example that is unfortunately on Version 5+ cause I do not have the 4+ by hand, so …?
All in all I think that it could be done in minor 5 Version (but not really sure in that) cause it’s not really “overactioned”. If I can get some more infos from the author, I let you know. One main reason for establish a german talk is to convert english to german but as well the other way round. Furthermore there is one “English” Section so feel free to rush in. It can be found on:
