Hi All

Am haveing problems with Scriptylightbox. Have a look at Loading... then click on St John, Brewham or Virgin Mary, Batcombe.

Click on any of the images and they should fill the whole page?? They were sized to be 640x428 in Photoshop and before I put the new version of the action in, they were all working as they should.

Any help please.

Regards

Lee

There’s something else going wrong here, too. The loading image isn’t
coming up the way it should. That indicates to me that there’s
something wrong with your install of SL, and Freeway is using the
cached version in the document itself – which almost never works
properly in this type of Action.

Could you try this? First, close all documents you might have open in
Freeway. Next make a new document. Place a single photo on the page
(one of these) and apply the ScriptyLightbox to that image along with
the Image Link to File Action, linked to the full-size image. See if
that works by previewing in a browser.

If it does, then go back through your old document, remove all
instances of SL – even from the images that seem to work. Publish
once, then go back through and re-apply the SL Action. You shouldn’t
need to remove the Image Link to File Action in your existing
document, that part seems to be working fine.

In order for this fix to work (if the test document actually works,
that is) it is vitally important that you really remove every possible
instance of SL from every page in the entire site.

Hi Walter

Have done what you said and when I remove all the SL from the two pages and images the they were on, did a test page. It work, no problem.

When I put the SL back on to the images that I want to use them on, neither the images or the test page worked.

It would seem that when I apply SL to the second image down on the Batcombe page, it all falls over. When SL is remomoved from that image, the first image works but with out the grey background/loading,cancel links.

I’m confused…

I’ve never tried using it in this manner, if there are multiple images to target, I usually apply the Action to their common parent. But that wouldn’t work in this case. Could you go back to your test page, and confirm that you can add multiple instances of SL to that document? Do it with the images side-by-side on the page, then try overlapping the trigger images. I’m guessing that the problem is to do with the combination of SL and the Show/Hide stuff, but that doesn’t seem entirely plausible to me.

Hi Walter

I have done a test page and it now seems that SL will not work at all. Look at Loading... and you’ll see what I mean. I have not placed them overlapping each other.

There’s something messed up with that page. It’s loading the
lightwindow.js script twice, and it should only do so once per page.
I’ll have to see what’s going on, but in the meantime, could you check
at ActionsForge and see if you have the very latest version? You can
find your current version by clicking on one of the Actioned items and
looking in the bottom-right corner of the Actions palette while the
ScriptyLightbox tab is showing. Then compare with what you get at
ActionsForge.

Hi Walter

SL is 0.3.5 which I downloaded over the week end, along with the rest of the Updated Actions from your post on the 18th April.
