Publish Problems

OVERFLOWED TEXT. The following items contain overflowed text which will not be
published.
Item: “item2”, Page: “Index”.

This is sort of useful, but in most folders I have an “Index” page which
means I can send a [simple] link to say:

http://macuseruk.org/mugs

Not:
http://macuseruk.org/mugs/mugs.php
Or
http://macuseruk.org/mugs.php

So I have quite a lot of “Index” pages on the site and in the FW file.

If it was the Index page in mugs folder if it could be prefixed with /mugs/

Item: “item2”, Page: “/mugs/Index”.

This would help me greatly!!

Best wishes Peter

I suppose this sort of problem occurs when we are not strict about naming all our items - it is good practice to give your items meaningful names but we don’t often do it.

And in most cases there is only one index page - but as you have discovered FW’s naming convention doesn’t always help.

There may be scope in the application itself tp provide more information like this but let’s face it this sort of identification problem does not happen very often.
