I’ve just noticed that Pulse has the dreaded img insertion malaise of so many WYSIWYGs…to insert an image you have to enter a full URL, rather than browse your own computer for a photo or image.

Oh dear…

Really, if Pulse wants to keep it simple for simple folk to use, you’ve really got to be able to browse locally for your files. Expecting rank beginners to keep images at some URL is contradictorily complex.

Or am I missing something?..

Use the image manager to upload the file and then you get the path to the file which you can copy/paste

What image manager is that? Maybe I’m behind the times, I have the v1.1

Even so, not exactly intuitive !

I really feel for entry level users, which I assume is what Pulse is aiming at, you need something easier than that. All the extra steps required tend to negate the benefits of a seemingly ‘simple’ system.

I might do a blog post more about this soon so people can learn how to tweak the editor to their liking.

Thanks Marcel, but i still can’t get it ok… i found that page a while ago but somehow the stylesheet of ckeditor does not really want to do as i tell him/her :smiley:
