quicktime download. no fast start

I have just updated my site using Freeway Pro. version 5.
Everything looks fine. I have some large QT files on the site but when you link to the QT file the page wont “fast start” the video. The page looks like is hanging, but once you wait for the file to download completely it plays fine. I created the files using compressor with the “Fast Start” option ticked.

Any thoughts on how to force the video to fast start?

I am not a web builder, and this is my one and only site. Please have a look I would love to be able to fix the problem.

I am neither a web builder, but using freeway and net to publish my low budget works.

To me it looks behaving quite normally. I haven´t got my QT movies to start faster than yours do.

“Lillipot” is a great freeware tool. It add fast start to your QuickTime movies. Developer’s Site: http://www.qtbridge.com/lillipot/lillipot.htm

I get a 404 on that lillipot link, but when I go to the developer’s site it’s the same address. Weird. Perhaps cause the web-board here drops the http part.

Thanks Dirk, my French isn’t that great but it worked just as promised. What I see now is that the first page that you launch with a QT movie works great, the page loads and you see the progress bar with controls. But if you jump to another page before the file has finished loading you get the “nothing happening” feeling waiting for the progress bar with controls to load. But on the other hand, if the video is fully loaded the next page works fine.

Is this normal.

For the clearest URLs, try using < and > at either end. (They won’t
appear on the Web, but they will make sure that any adjacent
punctuation doesn’t get sucked into the URL.) I believe that is what
is going on here. You have added ** around this link, in order to
make it bold (for some reason) and the trailing asterisks are being
made part of the link.

The Web display drops the HTTP prefix from the visible link text, but
believe me, it’s still there or the link wouldn’t go anywhere except
a 404 page.
