radial gradients

I’m testing out the demo version and I like it so far. But, I was wondering if a certain type of gradient can be done. I’ve found out how to do liner and radial gradients, but what I can’t seem to get it to create the type of gradient I am looking for.

What I want is a gradient that is “curved”. That is, if you are filling a circle with a gradient, I want the gradient curve around the circle. Much like you’d see on a real world radar display.

Here’s a link to an image with what I’m referring to:

That is not a radial gradient - it´s a linear gradient filtered/distorted to polar like GIMP or PS can do.
There´s a Quartz-filter in Intaglio called “Circular Wrap Distortion” what tries to achieve this effect.
Maybe this help:

Thanks for that! I’ve been playing with that filter and it’s not exactly what I was hoping for, but I should be able to get it to work for me.

Thanks again!

Thanks for the tip. I wondered how it was done. You can reproduce the GIMP Polar effect (no hole in the middle) by reducing the radius to 1.
