That is exactly the conclusion I have reached over the years! I was taught very early in my career that you have about 1,000 billable hours per year, a bit fewer than they arrived at here. Makes the math a lot easier.

This thread reminded me of an old Steve Martin skit where Steve discusses rates. I tried to find a video of his performance, which I think is from, “A Wild and Crazy Guy” but I couldn’t. Anyway, the routine goes something like this:
In a 3,000 seat hall . . .
- if the ticket price was $3.00, the nightly gross is $9,000
- if the ticket price was $7.50, the nightly gross is $22,500
- if the ticket price was $800.00, the nightly gross is $2,400,000
This is what I’m shooting for
- one show, goodbye!
