When I upload my site and go through the links each page redraws the background and the center image area. Is there a way to eliminate the redraw? It looks so unprofessional.
Also, after I made a few pages based on the master page I noticed that 2 of the pages do not update when I make changes on the master. I have to go in manually and change them. What did I do wrong?

Renee can you post a link to your site so that we can see how it is structured. Also if you can see a redraw happening it is usually indicating that the image size(s) you are using are too large.
If the page is correctly structured then these images should be cached by the browser and so redraw should be virtually instantaneous.
As Omar suggested - check in the inspector that you have the ‘use Master settings/use Master content’ boxes checked. But remember if you have altered anything on a child page that appears on the Master then that link will be broken and will not update with changes on the Master.
