Remove Returns From Text Before Import

Is there a way to remove returns from text before importing it?

I’m actually building a site in Weebly for someone and the only text I have to work with is what’s on their previous site done in Yahoo Site Builder.

So, I’m basically copying text directly from his old site, and pasting it into Weebly, although I can remove formatting, returns are still there.

Thanks.

The secret here is to rinse the text through a plain text editor like TextWrangler (Free from Bare Bones Software | TextWrangler is now BBEdit -- and still free! It's time to switch.) first.

So copy your text and paste into TextWrangler - adjust, (including return removal) then recopy/paste into Weebly.

This gets rid of any unseen formatting that comes along for the ride.

The same process should be used if copying text from Word.

Thanks, Dave.

I do have TextWrangler. Didn’t think of using it.

I tried taking it into TextEdit, but it still didn’t remove all the styling even after making it plain text.
