If you live in the greater L.A. area and have kids here’s a site that might be of use, http://familyplanet.us. I was hired to code it (I’m not the designer) using MODX. 500 pages and still growing. The client is still adding content so many sections are empty. There’s also a companion local magazine which you may have seen in your local grocery,“Y” or some such. The site and magazine is a rebranding of AmeriKidzCA which may be familiar, now under new ownership.
