We have been creating email templates for campaign monitor using these methods that are responsive for a little while now, and I have to say its an absolutely enormous task. The amount of styles you have to create is massive. It took about a weeks solid work to create a small set of templates that worked correctly which the client can populate. That doesn’t include the testing … that took an absolute age as well!!
So my advice is don’t start with a real job and deadline… from our experience you will be floundering about for a lot of the time. Its best to get started with something that isn’t time critical.
