Rollover/Slave...Im lost...

http://rimwrapz.com/products/availablestyles.html

Im trying to make it so I can preload different colors of the .gif samples on the above page. When a user rolls over the different color swatch, I want the corresponding .gif file to display.

Its currently not working…and Ive confused myself to the point of starting over the right way. Can somebody point me towards the correct tutorial please?

Thanks!

When a user rolls over the different color swatch, I want the corresponding .gif file to display.

Do you mean that rolling over the small sample should change the rim animated gif to match?

Target show/hide layer will do this for you. Rollover on the small sample, target show/hide on the rim animated gifs.

I got it working. I had an issue with combined graphics and was using the wrong action on the mouse over item.

Thanks!

Glad you are sorted Gregg

Can I just point out a little thing I noticed

“Our applications have only one seem …”

Should that not be "Our applications have only one seam … "

I tried several different approaches, pop-up selections for displaying color option animated gifs, the rollover approach I learned how to do correctly in this thread and a few other variations. I thought all the color swatches made it to busy and having all of them animating at once was inducing seizures…

Im leaning towards this (same URL):

Thanks again for the help. Should I be doing this kind of stuff in flash?

Why not just have the page load with static images - I think it looks a bit bland with the greyscale start - and then animate on rollover (if you think that is necessary).

Hi Gregg

I’d agree with what Dave said. It looks dull now. BTW, your first flag just shows as a block of colour when you mouse over.

Hope you don’t mind my input.
