Rollover workaround

Having failed to create a a dynamic style where text changes colour when hovering (before clicking the link), I created a menu item following the tutorial and used that for styling. I still couldn’t get the text to ‘hover’ but the enclosing box did, when previewing. However, when uploading the page, although the link works, none of the dynamic styling does. The page is at:

Would it be because I already have a proper menu at the top of the page, so can only use it once on a page?

Geoff

Hi Geoff,

You can only have one Xway menu on a page.

I think what you’re looking for are link styles. These can be set in the Default Styles section of the Box Inspector or Page Inspector or Document Inspector (depending on whether you want to set them for a box, or page, or document).

Dynamic styles can be used to style boxes, whereas default styles set the default appearance of text elements.

For more on link styles, see Styling links in the Xway User Guide. They’re also discussed in the introductory Xway Tutorial.

Thanks Jeremy, I’ll have a look

Geoff
