Screen record

Hi, I wonder has anyone any experiance with recording video of their computer screen, I see there are quite a few options out there so I am just trying to save myself some time downloading and making test videos with them all.

What I am looking for is smooth cursor movement, clear text and all this saving to long quicktime movies.

Many thanks

Hi Mike,

the best one ( and it is the one Russel Brown from Adobe uses ) appears to be Snapz Pro X from Ambrosia software
http://www.ambrosiasw.com/utilities/snapzprox/

you can download it and try it for free I think

Hi Gary,

Yes, this is the one that looks best so far in my tests. I was put off
it a bit from the web site and the example movies but now after
working with it I feel it is probably what I need for what I am doing.

Thanks for input

Hi Iwo, looks interesting but I am liking Snapz Pro, it’s not perfect but the quality is good and when you get used to the interface it suddenly starts to become simple to use.

Thanks
Mike

Here is something that is might be useful for all who make screenshots
or screen records and want to show no desktop clutter. It is called
desktop curtain and is created by Peter Maurer. Some of you may know
Peter as the creator of Butler. The link is: Desktop Curtain · Many Tricks

ScreenRecord is recommendable, I used (still use) it a few times and also own a license. But not sure if I would buy it another time, there are a few bugs and it is a bit slow as well.
