Scripy Accordion when show/hide elements are different styles

I have a question about setting up Scripty Accordion on my new website.

The challenge is that style of the show/hide elements vary. Some are straight text, some are bulleted lists, some are tables, and some are a combination of text and tables. (It wasn’t built with Scripty Accordion, but you can take a look at the FAQ on my old website at http://www.arkadaslik-yachting.com/faqs.html as an example.)

I managed to hardcode all the HTML on my old website, so can cut/paste from there if that’s the best solution. However, I’d love to be able to use a simpler tool like Scripty Accordion if that’s possible.

I’m very new to website building, so apologize if this is a basic question. How do I set-up the different styles of show/hide elements so they work correctly?

Regards,
Sue

The simplest way to solve this is to wrap each of your various show/hide elements in a common element. From your list, I would suggest a DIV.

Make your first header element (which can be anything besides a DIV) then type a return, then from the main menu, choose Insert / HTML Item. You will see an inline 100px square box below the header. Click once on that box, and stretch it out to full width, then double click inside it so you see a flashing text cursor within it, and finally paste your list, or paragraph, or image, or whatever inside of it.

Once the inline box has some content, you can set it to Height: Flexible, which will remove its height attribute and make the element collapse correctly.

Then, double-click in the outer HTML box (the one where you inserted the inline HTML box) and press the down-array a bunch of times to place your cursor at the end of the content. Type another return, type your next header, and repeat the process above.

In the Action, set your desired header element (h3, maybe) and set the show/hide element to DIV. Make sure your headers are all styled as the chosen header element, and you should be all done.
