I figured it out myself!! Yea! so proud. All I needed to have was the scriptaculous-packed set instead of just scriptaculous. it works now! thanks for your help!

My scrollable window is going to be rather large. I am trying to extend it outside the artboard b/c I need to and it won’t let me. How can I go about doing this?

In the Document Setup dialog, there are controls for how wide to make
the pasteboard. Make it wider, and you’ll have all the room you need.
But do pay attention to the total file size of your page. If you make
this slider really large, and wedge a lot of images into it, there
will be a noticeable lag between the time when the page appears in
the browser and the scroll effect becomes active, because all of
those hidden images need to download before the effect can initialize.
