After I could solve the page thing with a little help from Joe and Dave I have another question. How can one use scrolltest on iPhones/iPads? With the help of a scroll bar ?

The iDevices do not support scrollbars within the page, except through
a “you have to know the shortcut” work-around: dragging with two
fingers moves the sub-page scroll area.
To make such an area within your page, just set the Overflow property
to Auto or Scroll using the Inspector.
There are a few JavaScript sub-page scroller tools I have seen, these
rely on jQuery Touch for their magic. If I find a similar thing for
Prototype (thus compatible with Freeway’s built-in Actions, or the
ones I’ve written), I’ll let you know.

(is this correct?)

I think you may be mixing two different things. The overflow scroll setting is to be done instead of the Scriptaculous Slider effect, not along with it. You cannot use the Scriptaculous Slider control on iOS, which was the point of the original question here.
