My question: is there an action with which to control certain items (say the right-column) in such a way that if the Master content / Master settings are lost (due to changes in Page) i can still control this “constant” item (f ex the right-column) with this action?
The thing is that i may want to change / upgrade something in the layout of the Master, without having to manually redo everything.
A kind of “library-item” - action for the boxmodel.
I don’t think there is Omar. Although this is what I do - when using the RPL action which is applied to the page.
On the Master Page I can create an HTML layered item and insert a new html item into it - On each page the main item can be moved wherever I choose, whilst the inserted item remains updatable via the Master Page. This works really well for footer navigation etc. as on this site I did: http://www.newleafdigital.co.uk/
I assume if you are using the box model and have set up a template on a Master page with an inserted HTML into it then that item will be updateable via the Master Page unless you edit it on the pages themselves. It shouldn’t matter if there are other items with the box itself that you edit on each page.
