SEO

I have finished my clients site and uploaded it. My client now wants to optimise it and has and SEO company she has worked with before on other sites. My problem is this, if the SEO company makes any changes i.e. changes some of the the text for keyword density, inserts tags etc. etc. then when I make any changes and re-upload, those files he has worked on will be overwritten.

I probably know the answer to this… but any changes have to be done in the FW document and if they are not then they will be overwritten and there’s no way round this is there.

Nathan,

You could use a CMS system of some sort. e.g. If its just Keywords,
Page title, description, then WebYep can easily do this for you.

But having been there before, they will ask for; all above, changing
body text, making sure h tag are correct, and even externalising any
javascript.

Try and insist the changes come to you, and you put in. And hold your
ground. You will learn something on how its done.

If you (or your client) don’t want to go down the route of a CMS then
get the client to ask the SEO company to make the changes on copies of
the HTML and send them to you with markers pointing out what changed
and make the changes yourself in Freeway.

Thanks Joe / David,

I think I will get them to download copies of the html and send them to me for implementation as you both suggest.

Shame, if ever you need a hand I am in Poole just down the road and can work with you to keep it all in freeway.

I can always run some analysis in the SEO software I have.

Message me if you are interested.
