Thanks ttrw!
Sorry but still don’t get it… I’m a total newbie
With object/paths i seem to combine two paths in one compound path, but don’t seems to create new paths.
Where could i specify the steps of the transformation?
I haven’t really got time to explain, but you draw your objects select
the ones you want to perform the booleans with,
then use the path tools accordingly. The best thing to do is experiment!

I don’t know if Intaglio can do Illustrator-type blends, but similar types of effect are possible with the translate, scale, skew and rotate menu items (Object menu).
Draw a line, curve or shape and in the Object>Scale menu, tick the Duplicate and Preview checkboxes and change the vertical or horizontal scale to, say, 90%. Intaglio places a copy of the curve (or drawn shape), scaled as specified.
Click OK and repeat the transformation by pressing Command-R as many times as you want. You can create some wild effects!
Select all the shapes and make the strokes wider. If you choose the Multiply blend mode, nice effects are created where the shapes overlap. Also try changing to an angled brush shape and experiment with different colours and opacities.
Different effects can be created with the Translate, Skew and Rotate menus.
Illustrator has a “blend” tool to morph one path into another over several steps. Intaglio doesn’t currently have a tool to do this automatically, you’d have to copy a path and edit it.
