Hi Joe billings maybe you can help me with this one. I just updated to 5.5 and started experimenting with showcase.
I cannot seem to figure out how to adjaust the rows of the thumb nails. it seems to put to much space in between the rows , you can adjust the column widths but not the rows . I have tried all the adjustments on the program but I cannot get it to work . Please Help…
There isn’t any way to change the spacing between columns and rows independently, no.
Each thumbnail is contained within a square cell. The size of this cell is determined by the width or height (whichever is largest) of the thumbnail images. This value can be set in the Showcase application using the slider at the bottom of the window, or, for more precision, the Thumbnails Cell Size field in the Inspector.
From within the Action you can also adjust the padding around each image, this will de/increase the size of the cell by the number of pixels chosen. You can also change the cell spacing which will de/increase the number of pixels between each cell.
If you have no background color or border applied to your cells and all your thumbs are in landscape then, yes, you will see a larger space between the rows than the columns, but that space is needed to display images that are in portrait. Conversely, if all your images are in portrait then you would see more space between the columns than the rows.
