I have a large legacy Freeway 3.5 Pro site and want to make mouseover of 50 swatch thumbnails each show a corresponding smallish 320x180 image at a nearby place (all in the same place) on the same page. It is a Freeway-made table based layout at present.
I have messed and searched and read - gotten nowhere. I’ve always used pop up windows in the past but client doesn’t want that and I am confused.
Is someone reading this willing to offer some dummy steps?
ie - attach xxx action to swatch thumbnail - set it to blah. Attach zzz action to target image - settings blah
the interface is totally different and the Action is now called Target
image instead of Slave image but have a look at the Using Freeway 5
guide here to see how it’s done (tutorial 3):

Thanks Joe - that set me in the right direction - tho’ I’m needing it on 3.5
Pro so Slave image it is then.
I then saw that Rollover and Slave Image are both limited to 20 items - and
I cant use different slave chains on the same image box (as I can see it).
so I looked up Paul’s Action Machine and got that expanded to the number I
needed - 48.
Its a dreadfully repetitious thing to set up loads of actions or slaves.
Wouldn’t it be nice if one could drag and drop targets onto the action
palette. Wouldn’t it be nice if one could copy and paste action’s and their
parameters from one item to another. (I know it may have been easier to copy
and paste the items and then re import their images - but it isn’t always
so).
But it is already nice to have sorted this - and the client is happy too.
