Site menus

I am designing my master page which will have a list of my products down the left side.

Am I best to do this using an HTML box or a graphic box? I am lead to beleive that the HTML box will be read by the search engines, is this correct.

Also , can you adjust the line spacing when using text in an HTML box. The line spacing is at least double when I try…

I would try and achieve as much text as you can with HTML text unless
the design really dictates otherwise.

Even better to make your navigation with product names, and even using
a h2, h3 style for these.

Have a look here for some help: http://www.ineedwebhosting.co.uk/blog/top-tips-for-search-engine-success-part-one/

h2 and h3 are html head styles. Freewway already has an h1 style that you can alter if you wish with your own choice of fonts.

Try a soft return (shift-return) for less line space. Or, set a style with whatever line spacing you want.
