I have 12 photos of a process to show.
If they were gifs I could make an animated gif that would run like a slow
flipbook movie. As they are jpgs can I easily do something similar with
timed changes?
Or any other fairly easy way to similarly show them.
Easy = cheap as I need not to spend too long on it.
Sure. Put them in a Carousel and set the auto-glide interval to the
speed you want them to change. Leave all the controls off if you just
want it to show one after another with no user control permitted.

Walter’s excellent Carousel does do what you want and is the lowest
cost option for an effective display of a series of images. However,
(and I know I’ve noted this before on the Forum), if you want to
achieve a more ‘movie-like’ quality try SWF’n’Slide Pro from Vertical
Moon at:
This allows you to pan and zoom within your images to highlight
features of details more clearly. Most important, it is very simple
and quick to use and I’ve built slideshows, like the one at the URL
below below, in about an hour or less.
Incidentally, the title slide on this was produced in Vertical Moon’s
Text-Osterone, then dropped into SWF’n’Slide Pro for final output.

There is another piece of software here that you can try and it is childs play - you can produce a flash movie in seconds and the free version will produce 15 or 20 ( i think ) flash movies, flash galleries or lighbox galleries. then it costs about $25 for the Pro version
not that fully featured but it is adequate for some jobs and fast
By the way - Thankyou for all responses to my query. I am sure to find a way
to achieve what I seek as a result.
all the best

I forgot to mention that the site I need to do this is all in Freeway 3.
This is unavoidable as there is no budget to upgrade it to 4 or 5 and is a
large multi sectioned site that would not be trivial to migrate.
I can’t say for Carousel (though I’m sure Walter will), but
SWF’n’Slide Pro produces a .swf file (Flash) that you just insert in
an HTML box on your page. You can down load a Demo at:
I am pretty sure that Carousel wouldn’t work in 3. I can’t speak for
the others.
