Slideshow

I have simple slideshow running on a couple of sites but a few customers say that it jumps when fading in and out. Has anyone else experienced this on their slideshows?

I don’t know about MooTools, but in Scriptaculous, all effects work
in a defined duration, and put as many frames into that duration as
will make it appear smooth. But if there is something keeping the
animation from running (another process on the computer hogging all
the resources, perhaps) then the emphasis is put on making things run
on time, not on smoothness. Frames get skipped entirely in order to
make up time.
