I have never used these together, but forced to guess, I would imagine that that particular gallery uses jQuery instead of Prototype (or no library). jQuery and Prototype are equal-and-opposite. You would always want to use one or the other, but never both. SmoothScroll uses Prototype. It can’t be made to work any other way. If you can find a jQuery-based smooth scroll effect, you could use that in place of this Action. You’ll have to do a little hand-coding in the Page / Extended dialog, but that should be limited to pasting in one or three lines of code.
