Without a link to an example, it’s impossible to say exactly, but I would look to see if there are references to both Prototype.js (from SmoothScroll) and jQuery (from Thumblie) in the page. I don’t know about the Exhibeo JavaScript requirements, but that would be my suspicion.
These libraries do more or less the same things, but are incompatible with one another (not to mention both fairly large downloads of JavaScript, so you wouldn’t want to force someone to download both).
It comes down to which you need more. If SmoothScroll is less important than Thumblie, I would look around for a replacement for SmoothScroll written with jQuery, and add that (manually) after removing the SmoothScroll Action from the page.
