What’s resources are there to really learn about integrating FaceBook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google plus 1, social media et al into a Freeway website and marketing efforts?
What are the pitfalls, the things to avoid? What things really work? Are these efforts worth it? Have you seen an increase in traffic and sales via the social networks?
Thanks in advance - Lewis
Shane, this is so easy and even more than I asked about.
The website I’ve been working on is for a landscaping business.
Does one need accounts setup for FaceBook, Twitter and all the soclal media sites one wants? or can you simply “add this button”?
Any benefit, or drawback, from setting up accounts?
Any way to manage negative comments? I’m still wrestling whether the social media tie-ins are worth doing, though it seems easy to accomplish, at least the button aspect of it?
The trick of this action is that is just post a book mark on people’s facebook and twitter pages, and so on…
I wouldn’t do any account setups and such as I have not seen any benefits from people I know who did the same.
I would make up some nice flyers and post them at the local coffee shops, and do a few free-bee jobs for an old woman or two. Old women rock for references. They talk a lot, and take down notes.
Groupon might be a good idea for you. I would read their terms and conditions, but if you can break even on the promotion… Be a good way to meet a lot of locals.
Thanks for the additional ideas, I espeically liked the comment about biscuits.
Any danger of users getting more spam from using “add this button”? - Lewis
