Some Freeway Pro Questions

I just started using Freeway Pro today. I can’t figure out how to do 2 simple things:

  1. Adding a background image to the site - not the page but to the background the pages are on top of.
  2. How to remove the underline on hyperlinks.

Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Don

Don,

With nothing selected / click outside your doc,

then in the inspector, 2nd tab from the left,

there you select your bg-img,

with f ex
Horizontal: center
Vertical: top

NB: determine first which size it should be, so it’ll fit your width ´

otherwise you’ll find a goldmine of advice here on the FRW-talk forum!

How to remove the underline on hyperlinks

Again with nothing selected on your page look at the Page inspector window and click on the tab that looks like a paintbrush.

At the bottom of the inspector you will see a disclosure triangle that when clicked will open up the link settings.

To the right of the colour selectors for the various states you will see an underlined ‘U’

One click on the ‘U’ will turn underlining off but remember to do it for all the states that you want to affect.

It is often not easy to see what state the Underline button is at (should be light grey in colour) and it is worth previewing the page to check you have it right.

There are a few other ways to achieve this - one involves the use of the ‘Text Link Style’ action which can be applied to an HTML container if you only want to affect certain links on your page.

Don’t forget the free screencast on my site regarding styling hyperlinks.

The background image part, explained well enough above.

Don,

If you still get underlines then there’s also the ‘non underline links’ action that you can try. Quick and dirty method.
