I want to add news snippits to our homepage. The thing i have in mind is where you get the first two lines of the news, with a link to a main news page. I have limited space so for multi news stories i want it to automatically scroll up very few seconds to the next news story. Does anyone have any suggestion on how to do this?

You could do this fairly easily with the Carousel Action. There is an
option in Carousel to have the animation happen vertically rather
than horizontally, and there is also an Auto-Scroll setting, which
you can adjust to the reading speed of your audience.
