I’m using the Spawn New Window action. When activated the background window lightens considerably. Is there a way to make the background darken instead of lighten?

The action uses a graphic file to achieve this blanking-out.png which is basically a white png.
You substitute your own file instead of the action included one.
Right click the action file ‘Spawn New Window Suite.fwactionb’ and Show Package Contents
Within that you will see the file structure Contents>Resources>Actions>Support Files~>blanking-out.png
Swop yours for the original
What this will then do is use your “darker?” image wherever you use the action.
If you only want to do this in specific places then you will need a different approach or actually upload your own file to the server after you have published and uploaded your site.
