startup page when visiting my site

Hi!

Sorry, this must seem like a typical rookie-mistake.
I have now made my site in Freeway pro, it’s all fine, uploaded it to mobile-me on my personal domain, it’s just that when visiting my site you don’t come to my “home” page, you start on another subpage, this subpage is connected to my master page 2. And I don’t know why a visitor comes to this subpage, can someone please help me?
this is the site:http://www.robinjonsson.net/

thank you very very much for any help,

Robin

In Freeway, each page has two separate “names”. There’s the Title and
then there’s the Filename. Regardless what you used for the Title,
it’s the Filename that determines what page will load by default in
your site when you leave the actual filename out of the URL.

By default, most Web servers will look first for a file with the
filename ‘index.html’ and serve that before looking any further or
giving up and throwing an error. All servers can be configured to look
down a decision tree of other names (and even that index.html is not
universally default) so the last word in this matter would be your
hosting provider.

If you click on the page that does load in the list of pages on the
left in Freeway, you will probably see that its filename is
index.html. Change that to something else using the Inspector, then
click on the page you do want to load as your Home page, and change
that to index.html. Then upload your entire site again.

Hi Robin,
When someone types your web address into their browser (http://www.robinjonsson.net) the web server is asked to send back the default page. Typically this is called index.html but can change depending on the server configuration. It looks like your sub page still has the file name of index.html and your real home page is called home.html.
Change the name of the sub page to simulations.html (for example) and the home page to index.html (both in the Inspector palette) and you should be set.
Regards,
Tim.
