Strange warning at login

Hi, don’t know what section to ask this, but I’ve been getting a strange message on my screen every time I try to access the freewaytalk website. I’ll paste the wording down below if anybody can tell me why I am getting this and is there anything to worry about. I’m using an Apple Mac on OS 10.6.8.

At the bottom of this message there is a link to allow me to go to the page ‘at my own risk’, which is how I always have to come here now, just a bit worried about this message.

Hi Alex,
This isn’t anything too much to worry about. The message is telling us that the security certificate for the web site expired 55 days ago and that the site may not be from Softpress but someone pretending to be them.

If the site continues to get funding for hosting then I’d like to think that the certificate will also get renewed. However, to do that it needs to be associated with the company - which has recently shut down. I suspect the secure part of the site (the https connection) will revert back to a standard http connection in the future.

Until then I’m inclined to accept the message and continue using the site as normal.
Regards,
Tim.
