styling links

Hi, I’m having trouble styling the links to the bookstores on this page. I think maybe because they are under my css menu—I have styled the links for the whole page and the item and still they don’t appear correct. Please let me know how to fix it. Also, if you cruse around my site it jumps from side to side in the browser—do you have any idea why and how to fix it?
Thank you so very much for all your help. You have been terrific.

You or rather Freeway on your behalf has created a number of styles; style9 (B&N, Amazon) specifies a colour, which will prevent your rollovers working replace this with style47 (Powells, Indie Bound) and they’ll all work.

Jumping between pages is usually caused by moving between different length pages ie ones with scroll bars and ones without.

But I think on yours the page items are not all positioned the same - are all your pages based on 1 Master?

I replaced style 9 with 47 and the rollover now works but the color is wrong. The normal color before rollover should be the yellowish color on the page. I set this correctly in the link styles sections yet it comes up purple for some reason. Let me know what I should do.

These are the settings for 2 of your pages. Top is the home page and under that the about page

Note that the home page has no padding but the about page has 50px

That is probably the main cause of the jumping between pages.

To get rollover styling correct in a CSS menu you should be using text that has no colour attributes and only use the Link styling section within the CSS Menu action interface to add the colours.

Note that Purple is the standard colour for a Visited link so if you have been to that page before the link will be Purple. To test visit the page with a Browser that you dont normally use - or a different PC.
