Very nice and beautiful craftsmanship, I do like the wooden handled ones.
Once had my head shaved with one of those by en ex-clansmen-barber in Birmingham, Alabama—that is another story…
I’ve never used a straight razor, always been a bit scared of them. I usually just stick to a safety razor and Feather blades, mainly for shaving my follicly impaired head.
Cheers

Well, that sounds like a story worth hearing about sometime.
Safety razors are amazing and so much better than the cartridge junk today, I would like to use one again (it’s been a very long time).
I too am a head-shaver and have only enjoyed the straight razor experience a couple times but it was unlike anything else; it completely redefined my perception of a “close shave”. Kind of scary, yes, but there’s something almost meditative about using one. My grandfather was an honest-to-goodness barber in 50s-70s and I have fond childhood memories of going to the ‘shop and watching him mixing the shaving cream in the little cup and brushing it on with the badger brush and shaving. I learned to appreciate the process and skill of shaving that way. It was cool.
