tabbing to stacked carousels

I’m working on a site (FW5.02) using more than one carousel per page.
Can you ‘tab’ to a particular carousel within a stack of carousels?
Can you ‘tab’ to a particular carousel pane, in a stack of carousels?
Thanks to all who have worked, within and without, on this fine piece of software.
Cheers,
Rob Hicks

Not sure what you mean by your question. Do you mean switch between
panes in the published site, or within the Freeway design view? Both
are possible, but please clarify your question.

Walter, thanks for your reply.
Can you use the Carousel Tab action to select a particular carousel in a stack of carousels? In my case, I have one carousel showing one range of product, another carousel showing a second range and a plan a further carousel showing a third. These carousels are stacked on top of each other and are currently being selected via a rollover and target show/hide layer. Can I use Carousel Tabs to select each range.
Secondly, is it possible to link to an individual pane, within one of the carousels, from elsewhere in the site?
Thank you for your time.
Cheers, Rob

Sure. Yes to both. The carousel tabs action creates navigation elements that cause a particular pane to scroll into view when clicked. To make a link that goes to a page in yoursite, and then scrolls a particular pane into view, simply make note of the ID of the pane you want to default to, then add that to the end of the URL after a ? mark.

So if you wanted item1a to show, you would make your URL mypage.html?item1a

Hi Walter,

I am concerned I still have not made myself clear.

Here is a page in question.

http://wwwexpectations.com.au/wines.html

The change between the two carousels stacked on this page is
triggered by mouseover on the Austins and sixfootsix boxes below the
main menu.

On page…

http://wwwexpectations.com.au/test.html

I have tried to use the Austins and sixfootsix graphics as carousel
buttons to switch between the two carousels. I have grouped these two
buttons with the two carousel groups.

My second question is whether, in a published site, you can open this
(wines or test) page at a selected pane, within one of the two
carousels, from a text rollover, linked graphic or hyperlink
elsewhere in the site. For instance, there could be a reference to
one of the wines on the home page which could take you directly to
that product’s pane.

I hope that is clearer.

Cheers, Rob

Excuse me Walter…
Where/how do I add ‘?item1a’ to the URL.
It doesn’t seem possible in Edit Hyperlink.

You have to use a manual URL, it’s not accessible through the “pick the page from the list” side of things.
